London, in 1894 only 16 years Simeon Simpson has made its foray into the fashion world. Presence that stood out immediately soon reaping the rewards of his artistic talent, thereby increasing its reputation that has paved the way for creating the “Simpson Suit”.

In 1934 his son Alexander Simpson has found an important solution for the way of sports, especially for golfers, the problem of pants that did not stand shirts, whenever they made a move could see the shirts jump out of his pants.

Thus it was born DAKS, a combination of DAD  and SLACKS. For Spring / Summer 2017 Daks not only it brings a collection, but it tells a story, full of soul, of shades and perfumes.

The story of a man who seeks his essence, which comes from London and goes to the fragrant and spicy India.

The colors are a real crossroad of trails and roads, the gray, almost silver is mixed with Bordeaux in Madras tissues, another gray passing to white, black or brown earth, all tied with bright green tones that call to the color of emeralds.

Daks brought the smell of distant India so close with its amazing creations. The collection made me imagine a journey to the deepest self, concise and elegant cuts, without an equal charm, quality and elegance with the mistral use of materials such as cotton, silk and cashmere.

Londra, nel 1894 ha soli 16 anni  Simeon  Simpson ha fatto la sua incursione nel mondo della moda. Presenza che si è fatta notare presto cogliendo immediatamente i frutti del suo estro artistico, facendo così crescere la sua reputazione che ha aperto la strada alla creando della “Simpson Suit”.

Nel 1934 suo figlio Alexander Simpson ha trovato una importante soluzione per il modo degli sportivi, in particolare per i golfisti, il problema dei pantaloni che non reggevano le camicie, ogni volta che facevano una mossa vedevano le camicie saltare fuori i pantaloni. Così nasce DAKS, una combinazione tra DAD (papa in inglese) e SLACKS (parola inglese per dire – pantalone informale).

Per la primavera / Estate 2017, Daks non solo porta una collezione, ma racconta una storia, piena d’anima, di sfumature e profumi. La storia di un uomo che cerca la sua essenza, che esce da Londra e va verso la profumata e speziata India.

I colori sono un vero incrocio di sentieri e strade, il grigio, quasi argento che si mescola con il Bordeaux nei tessuti di Madras, un’altro grigio chiaro che passa al bianco, al nero oppure al marrone terra, il tutto legato con dei luminosi toni di verde che rimettono al colore degli smeraldi.

Daks ha portato l’odore della lontana India così vicina con le sue incredibili creazioni. La collezione mi ha fatto immaginare un viaggio verso l’io più profondo, tagli concisi ed eleganti, un fascino senza uguale, la qualità e l’eleganza con l’utilizzo maestrale di materiali come il cotone, la seta ed il  cachemire.
